The sound on my video isn't working, so Il just type up what i said to go with the video.
Firstly after i had created my product i had learnt a lot about new technology and how we can use it to create almost anything.
I used photoshop to create the majority of my magazine. Photoshop is a software that allows you to creatively design things and save them as jpeg files. You can create your own image or simply edit another. There are also websites in which you can download various brushes and fonts to help personalise your image. I used a certain brush tool here as you can see to create the effect i specifically wanted for my magazine.
Dafont.com is a website which has thousands of professional fonts and are a wide variation. The majority of the fonts are firstly created on photoshop and then uploaded letter by letter onto the website. I specifically looked for eroded/ distorted fonts for my cover because i wanted to give it a eroded kind of 'worn out' effect. All of the fonts on my magazine front cover, contents and also double page spread are created using dafont. The title "before last night" I had edited because i wanted it to be even more different so i used the font "Master plan" and then edited it on photoshop using a star brush tool to add the little stars into it.
I also used digital technology such as SLR cameras, i specifically used my Canon EOS 400D because i was familiar with how it worked but by looking into lighting and research i learnt more about them because of the this task. I learnt how tripods can help with using different lights because if you use lower exposure you need to keep the camera still or it will be blury. Also by using the studio, i was able to learn about the lighting and where to place the lights if i wanted to give my photograph a different effect. Although i could edit my photos on photoshop with the lighting and contrast i still wanted to get the photos looking as good as possible.
